About Sera

I’m Sera Francis — a Sociologist, Certified Yoga Teacher, and Certified Neurodiversity Coach — dedicated to helping neurodiverse children (especially those with ADHD, dyslexia, and learning differences) learn with calm, confidence, and clarity. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how traditional classrooms can sometimes overlook the unique rhythms and needs of neurodiverse learners. My mission is to create a nurturing learning space where every child feels seen, supported, and capable — where focus is cultivated through understanding, not pressure. Drawing on my background in sociology, I bring awareness to the emotional and social pressures that shape a child’s learning experience. Combined with gentle yoga techniques, mindful breathing, and grounding practices, I help children regulate their energy, reconnect with their bodies, and approach learning with renewed focus and curiosity. As a Neurodiversity Coach, I tailor every session to each child’s natural strengths and challenges — blending structure with creativity, stillness with play. We take short, fun yoga-based breaks to recharge the mind, build focus, and reduce overwhelm. Teaching, for me, is a partnership — one built on trust, empathy, and consistency. I don’t just teach lessons; I walk alongside each child and family, helping them build confidence and resilience both inside and outside the classroom. Because every child deserves to learn from a place of calm, joy, and belonging.

As a sociologist and certified yoga teacher specializing in neurodiversity, I offer a calm, supportive, and holistic learning space for children with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences. My sessions go beyond academics—they are designed to nurture focus, emotional balance, and self-confidence through a blend of personalized learning support and gentle yogic techniques.

Each class begins with a few minutes of grounding breathwork to help the child arrive in the moment. When I notice their attention drifting, I guide them back to their center through subtle breathing practices and mindful pauses. We also weave in short, playful stretches—simple movements that give the body a quick reset and the brain a fresh burst of energy—allowing the child to focus for longer periods without frustration.

The academic portion of the session is tailored to the child’s learning style, emphasizing small, achievable goals that build confidence step by step. My approach is rooted in the understanding that every child’s environment, body, and attention are deeply connected—a perspective shaped by my background in sociology and yoga philosophy.

These sessions are ideal for school-age children (6–16 years) who benefit from structure balanced with movement and mindfulness. Parents often notice that their child becomes more centered, emotionally regulated, and self-aware—skills that extend beyond academics into daily life.

My aim is simple: to create a space where each child feels seen, supported, and capable, and where learning becomes not a struggle, but a journey of curiosity and calm.
