About Zachary
I am a neuroscience student at the University of Colorado Boulder with a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, and other life sciences. My experience extends beyond the classroom through hands-on laboratory research, where I have worked with molecular biology techniques and gained a deeper understanding of how scientific concepts are applied in real-world research.
As a tutor, I strive to create a patient and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging material. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching methods to meet each student's individual needs.
I take tutoring seriously and come to each session prepared, organized, and ready to help students reach their academic goals. Whether a student is struggling with a particular concept, preparing for an exam, or simply wants to strengthen their science skills, my goal is to help them develop both a stronger understanding of the material and greater confidence in their abilities.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making science easier to understand and helping students build confidence in the material. I tutor biology, chemistry, and general science, and I break challenging topics into simple, manageable steps using examples, diagrams, practice problems, and real-world connections.
A typical lesson starts with identifying what the student already understands and where they need additional help. From there, we review key concepts, work through examples together, and finish with independent practice to make sure they can apply what they learned.
What sets me apart is my strong background in science, including college-level biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and hands-on laboratory research. I enjoy connecting classroom concepts to real scientific and medical applications while adapting my teaching style to each student's needs.
My lessons are best suited for middle and high school students taking biology, chemistry, general science, or related courses, whether they need help catching up, preparing for an exam, or strengthening their overall understanding of the subject.
