About Avery
I graduated from Earlham College with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, and I'm currently working on my graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Ball State University. I have tutored students and peers ages 6 - 32. I have been a psychology research assistant on several projects and the primary researcher on a behavioral neuroscience project. Looking forward to working with you!

I will work with you 1-on-1 to help you expand your knowledge of psychology. I like to engage in a dialogue with the students I'm tutoring, rather than just lecturing at them. We'll work together for an hour at a time, starting by breaking down concepts you understand into building blocks and using those to explain the concepts you need help with. I am comfortable tutoring all ages, as long as you're excited to talk about psychology!

Details
First lesson is a 30-minute online overview to determine if I can help with what you need and if we get along well. If so, we will schedule a 1-hour paid lesson (online or in-person). Travel fee only applies to trips over 5 miles. I'd be happy to meet somewhere other than your home if preferred, such as a public library or a coffee shop!
