About McKenzie
I am a new graduate that specializes in history/social studies. This has been my focus for four years and I have done extensive work in fields involving Latin America, Women's history and Indigenous history. More specifically, I am writing my current thesis on the Texas penitentiary from 1970-1985, so mass incarceration in the US is also a strong suit of mine.

My basic approach is to engage students. If students are able to be engaged it is more likely it will spark their curiosity and desire to learn more and ask more questions. If students can relate or understand the subject material they are more likely to learn further than the basics and become fascinated in the details! It is important to me to display information in a basic way and then break it down into details as time goes on.
