About Amy
Previously, I worked as the Woodshop Technician at Bellevue College in Washington State. There, I worked with the Professors to teach and monitor four Beginning Wood classes, one Intro to sculpture class, and one Intermediate furniture design class each quarter. Balancing the needs of about 90 students a quarter. From 2017-2018, I was a teaching assistant for Introductory Sculpture classes at the University of Washington. In these classes, the Professor and I taught basic 3D design as well as conceptual thinking and research for Fine Art. As a result of our teaching, we attained the highest student retention rate in the program since 2007.

As an multi-media artist, I believe that art is a language, and my goal is to teach students how to translate their ideas into final pieces.
For each student, I start out by defining what each student is looking to learn or achieve. Based on their goals, I will create a personalized lesson plan for short term, long term, or ongoing lessons.

$25/hr for in person lessons.
$23/hr for online lessons.
$22/hr if you pay for 10hrs in advance. (Applies to online and in-person)
Free first lesson will be online only to prevent the possible spread of Covid-19. During this time, we will be discussing what the learning goals are, term length, and an ongoing lesson plan.
In person lessons can take place either at the students place of residence, my place of residence, or a public location depending on each persons needs.
Ideally, lessons will be 2+hrs at a time in order to best facilitate learning.
