About Simon
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Newcastle University, having recently completed my 2nd year of studies. My school qualifications are very much orientated around mathematics and physics, having a A levels in maths, Further maths, Physics and Geography (receiving an A* in maths) and having, among others, an A* in GCSE maths and Further maths. At university I am using mathematics every day, and it is expected of me to explain clearly my understanding of all my working.

My tutoring style will be focused on building on the fundamentals of the topic; ensuring a complete understanding before building to more complex problems through examples. Rather than simply memorising equations, I believe it is important to understand their meaning as this will not only help students to understand the current problem, but allow the topic to be analysed further at higher levels.
