About Nick
My name is Nick Hathway I have been playing guitar for over 10 years now and through it all I have learned a lot about the guitar and music theory that I would love the opportunity to pass on! I took lessons for the first 5 years of my playing and have taken on many of the approaches to teaching that helped me become the player I am today.

My approach as a teacher depends on the individuality of the student. My most important technique is making sure the environment is safe and making sure my students know they can play without judgment and ask for anything they need. If you're just getting started I would make sure to assign achievable but challenging tasks to ensure the learning is fun and compelling. Whereas for more advanced players I would provide more complex music theory concepts which help them understand the instrument as a whole.
