About Julia
A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, I'm a lover of words who is now working in New York City as a writer — living the dream! I've always loved to read and to write, and I've been lucky enough to have those both be skills that came naturally to me, which makes it all the more rewarding to help young students discover their love for and skillset in the area. Ever since middle school, I was my peers' go-to for a first-round edit of an essay draft, and that pattern continued all the way through college. I have tutoring experience that spans age ranges from kindergarten to high school and I've edited and helped with writing ranging from school assignments to college admissions essays.

I'm happy to tailor all lesson plans personally and directly to the student and their needs. We can workshop essays, assignments and homework, test prep and work on additional curriculum to tackle challenging subject areas and skills. I have experience working with students ranging from kindergarten through 11th grade, at various skill levels, and always want to make each lesson individual to the student I'm with. If there's something I haven't tutored in before, I'm more than happy to jump in and learn it all again!
