About Mariam

Hello! I’m Mariam — a dedicated and experienced core subjects tutor who has worked with the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). I specialise in English, Maths, and Science, and I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.

Having achieved all A/A*s at both GCSE and A-Level, I understand what it takes to succeed in exams and how to break down challenging content into manageable, approachable steps. Whether a student needs extra support or is aiming for top grades, I’m here to guide them every step of the way.

About the lesson

Every student has their own unique abilities, and I believe we can use this to our advantage. I tailor my lessons to match each student’s learning style, as I’ve found that pre-planned lessons aren’t always the most effective. Instead, I focus on what works best for the student and take their preferences into account. I believe that skills are more important than content—when you learn how to approach a problem, you can perform much better in the long run.
