About Madeleine
I am currently a third-year at NYU majoring in psychology with a double minor in politics and law.
I have scored a 1550 on the SAT, and I have completed 60+ hours of SAT prep on the tutoring platform, GoPeer, where I have received a 98% satisfaction rate in all, and I have taught 100+ hours with students ranging from the 3rd grade to college.
Through teaching the SAT, I have seen vast improvements from my students, with one student increasing their original score by 170 points in a month of working together.

I love collaborating with students and helping them stay engaged in course materials. I find that being patient, kind, and encouraging are the best ingredients for learning.
For the SAT, I find that success comes from understanding how the test is created. Consequently, I primarily utilize materials from the test-giver: the College Board. I use their worksheets and past SAT questions in order to best prepare students for the task at hand. Because of this, all prep materials, practice tests, and subject matter will be provided and/or accessible.
Lastly, I will always ask my students: "How did you get that answer?" I find that this question can be the key to learning, as students are allowed to understand their own thought processes.
