About Bethany
I am a Ph.D. graduate with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. I have passed the NBCOT exam. I have over ten years of research experience. I am interested in tutoring students so that they can be successful in the graduate program. My favorite occupations outside of academics include reading fiction books and crafting.

I have received training in andragogy (adult learning) principles and apply these to each session, including self-concept, readiness, experience, and motivation. With this in mind, I expect students to bring concepts they are struggling with to our meetings for us to work through together. I provide studying strategies such as time management, breaking down the material into manageable chunks, and different learning activities. I am friendly and approachable! My lessons are typically geared for undergraduate and graduate students; however, I am able to work with all ability levels.

Perfect! Absolutely wonderful and so helpful.... Her responsiveness is quick and I appreciate her help.
- Brook (Christine's Daughter) was an enthusiastic student, who participated well in the lesson. She picked up on most of the content quite quickly, especially with a little bit of repetition. She never got frustrated with difficult to grasps concepts and with minimal prompting was able to use context clues to solve the problems. I do wish she had been slightly more proactive in acquiring a tutor earlier in the semester and she struggled a little bit with some foundational concepts. Overall, I would happily tutor Brook again. I wish her the best luck on her exam and in all her future endeavors.Bethany's response :
