I’m a graduate of The Ohio State University with a background in Materials Science and Engineering. I earned 5s on both the AP Literature and AP Language exams and have strong experience in essay writing, rhetorical analysis, and close reading. I’ve also supported students through substitute teaching and mentoring. I focus on helping students become more confident and clear in their reading and writing by breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps. With experience in technical writing, rhetorical analysis, and close reading, I guide students through how to structure essays, develop strong arguments, and analyze texts effectively.
In a typical lesson, we review assignments or prompts together, outline key ideas, and work through writing step-by-step. I provide feedback and then have students apply it so they can improve independently.
My lessons are best suited for middle school through high school students, especially those in English classes, AP Literature, or AP Language, as well as students preparing for essays or standardized tests.
