About Olivia
I am currently in the process of pursuing a Master's Degree in Film and Screen Media after having received my Bachelor's in Politics, with a double minor in Critical Theory/Social Justice and Media Arts and Culture. An avid reader and reviewer of books, literacy has been a major factor in my life since I began reading the Nancy Drew books in primary school.
Oftentimes, confidence is key when it comes to inspiring academic enthusiasm. I am passionate about education being not only accessible, but also about reducing barriers that prevent students from feeling disengaged with the information they are being presented.

As a private tutor in the past, I was tasked with creating lesson plans for my student. A primary school student, her parents wanted me to work on reading comprehension and inspire a passion for reading. We met weekly to review the chapters of a book we read together and I had her practice her writing skills by creating worksheets for her to fill out as she read.
