My approach to teaching French is to work with my students to create lessons that utilise their preferred learning techniques. I create lesson plans, goals and teaching materials for my students in a way that makes sense to them and I encourage my students to make their learning of French suit their lifestyles, rather than prescribing a specific technique that they must rigidly stick to. We all learn differently and I believe that focussing on the student's interests and skills leads to better confidence, better understanding and is all round a lot more enjoyable than working through a textbook!
I studied Translation, Media and French at the University of East Anglia at BA level and later received Distinction in the MA Applied Translation at UEA. I spent an Erasmus study abroad year in Toulouse, France and then taught English at the university in Nancy, France. I began tutoring French in 2013 and have worked with students of varying levels and ages. I offer GCSE and A Level tuition, beginners tuition and conversational lessons to students in Norwich.
