About Albert
The techniques I will be teaching in the course are those that I have used in my career life as a Professional Bodyguard, Armed Security Officer and Self-Defense Instructor. I was bullied as a kid and grew a love for the martial arts at a young age. I was taken to my first Jeet Kune Do lesson by a friend of mine and that day shaped the rest of my life. My teachings of self-defense is rooted in the Jeet Kune Do philosophy of not being bound by any particular style or form and to use what works best for you, thus developing an art uniquely your own. From there, I went on to earn my black belt in Uechi-ryū Karate with a emphasis in Judo and Hapkido. Afterwards, I obtained my NSCA certification as a Personal Fitness Specialist.

I am certified with the NSCA and specialize in the Fight Science.
I am a 1st degree black belt with a background in Karate, Judo and Jeet Kune Do. I will show you self-defense techniques as well as explain their body mechanics. These tutoring sessions are ideal for groups of 2 or more, as a partner is typically needed. Unlike other instructors, who just show you the techniques and expect it to make sense, I go over the physiology and kinesiology of the movement. I do this because understanding how and why they work, will allow you to make adjustments to your own style of fighting. I don't believe in "Cookie Cutter" techniques because everyone's body is different and what may work for one person, could not work for others.
