About Jamie
My name is Jamie Harvey, I am a University of Manchester first-year Aerospace Engineering Student. I achieved 7's (A* equivalent) in both my Higher-Level Physics and Mathematics IB examinations, with a score of 44/45 overall which puts me in the top 1% of IB Diploma graduates. I also obtained 9's in my Physics and Maths GCSEs. Having gone through these exams myself, my learning philosophy stems around understanding the material rather than utilising rote memory, as it allows for a greater range of problems to be tackled. By going through problems step by step with students, I hope to instil a greater understanding of each topic, with the ultimate aim of mastering content to a comfortable level come exam season.

I am an IB and GCSE maths and physics tutor. The ultimate goal of my lessons is to help you understand all the topics to 100%, one step at a time. We will work through practice problems to ensure that any burning questions aren't left unanswered, and go through board-specific past papers to develop exam technique. As I am still a student myself, I understand what effective revision for maths and physics really looks like. I will be sharing these insights with my students to maximise scores in tests, step by step towards an A* on exam day.
