About Carly
Currently, I am in my last year of undergraduate studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am a sociology major, with a minor in history and religious studies. I have received awards of academic success, most recently in 2020 for achieving the highest grade in SY101. I am a member of the Laurier Creative Writing Society and Generation Magazine.
When students meet with me they can expect the utmost professionalism and patience. As a current student myself, I am hyper aware of the current curriculums and up to date events on a global scale.

My approach to teaching is to begin by discussing the strengths and struggles of each student, to ensure they are getting a personalized plan. I am a patient and hardworking individual, and will be sure to customize lesson plans to suit each student’s needs. A typical lesson would include asking the student to bring In any school materials as to align my teaching with the school curriculum. I would ask the student about their comfort zones and where they could use some extra support. With vast experiences working with children with learning and cognitive disabilities, I am prepared to create learning activities that can accommodate anyone.
I can teach elementary or high school aged students, and provide them with the necessary tools and support required for them to thrive in their academic pursuits.

Carly is a wonderful tutor. She provides all the necessary support students need in order to succeed in their assignments. She always makes an effort to understand why the student is struggling, rather then just what the student is struggling with.
