About Matthieu

After two years of preparatory classes (MPSI-MP*, an intensive French programme for top engineering schools), I joined CentraleSupélec in 2024 and have since been completing a dual degree in Maths and Theoretical Physics at Oxford, where I'm currently based. I draw on everything those two years of prépa taught me, along with my experience as a private tutor and as a teaching assistant (quantum physics) at CentraleSupélec, to help students improve both their fundamental understanding of science and their overall efficiency. Throughout my studies, I've had the chance to step back and better understand what the education system really expects from students. Instilling or reinforcing a genuine love for maths, physics and chemistry remains essential to me.

Committed to helping students progress, I adapt to each one individually and make sure they feel confident. I'm very interested in teaching methods, and I like giving lessons that differ from what's taught in the classroom. Giving the student plenty of speaking time helps them identify where their difficulties lie and lets them ask any question, even the ones that seem trivial (often the most interesting ones). I achieved top marks in both Maths and Physics in my final school exams (French Baccalauréat, equivalent to A Level). Lessons are available online or in person for students around Oxford.
