About Jack
Hi, I'm Jack Whyte. I am currently completing my A Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Fine Art, with predicted grades of A*A*A*A. I have also received an offer to study Engineering Science at the University of Oxford from October 2026.
I am offering tuition for GCSE and A Level students over the summer and beyond. Having recently completed the courses myself, I have an up-to-date understanding of the specifications, exam techniques, and marking criteria that make the difference between good and excellent results. This allows me to provide targeted support and help students begin the new academic year with confidence.
I have 10 months of tutoring experience through Private Tuition London, where I worked with GCSE students across Mathematics and the Sciences. During this time, I helped students strengthen their subject knowledge, improve exam technique, and build confidence in their abilities. One student I worked with improved from a predicted Grade 3 to achieving a Grade 5 in their final GCSE examinations.
My teaching style focuses on clear explanations, developing genuine understanding, and practising exam-style questions to ensure students are fully prepared for assessments. Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence, secure a pass, or achieve the highest grades, I tailor lessons to their individual goals and learning style.

I aim to help students understand not just what works, but why it works. By exploring the reasoning behind ideas and connecting concepts together, students develop the ability to apply their knowledge flexibly in new situations rather than relying on memorised methods.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's needs, with an emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and genuine comprehension. My goal is to help students become independent learners who can approach challenges with confidence and a deeper appreciation of the subject.
