About Marie
I’m a second-year Medicine student at Oxford and I am also an avid rower. Before applying to Medicine, I was set on studying Engineering but ultimately decided that Medicine was the right path for me. Because of this, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when you’re trying to make important decisions about your future, and I’m always happy to support students who are still figuring out which path is right for them.
Academically, I achieved 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A-level, scored 3040 in the UCAT (95th percentile), and received offers from Oxford, Bristol, Edinburgh and Imperial (for Biomedical Engineering). I wasn’t expecting to get these results but I managed to find a structured approach to revision that made it manageable and effective.
That’s the mindset I hope to pass on to my students. Whether I’m helping someone prepare for GCSEs, A-levels or an Oxbridge Medicine application, my goal is to build confidence alongside academic ability. Seeing students grow in both their understanding and self-belief is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring, and I aim to give every student the skills and support they need to succeed.

My tutoring is tailored to help students build genuine confidence, whether they’re aiming to improve their GCSE and A-level grades in STEM subjects or preparing for the highly competitive Oxbridge Medicine admissions process. Having sat A-Levels and completed the admissions process only last year, I understand how confusing and stressful it can be and I aim to make the process easier to understand.
I focus on developing a deep understanding of difficult concepts rather than relying on memorisation, adapting each lesson to suit the individual student’s needs and learning style. My aim is to make complex topics clear, improve problem-solving skills, and help students approach exams with confidence.
For aspiring medical students, I also provide personalised support with every stage of the application process, including admissions test preparation, personal statement guidance, and interview coaching. Having successfully navigated the Oxford admissions process myself, I can offer practical advice, proven strategies, and insight into what selectors are looking for.
Whether your goal is achieving the highest grades you can get or securing a place at medical school, I’m committed to providing supportive, structured tuition that helps you reach your full potential.
