About Jimmy
I’m Jimmy, a painter based in south-west London with over 20 years’ experience making and exhibiting work. My paintings have been shown in the UK and internationally, including a solo exhibition at Amanita in New York.
I enjoy helping people discover what they can do through drawing and painting. I’m calm, patient and encouraging, and welcome students who feel unsure where to begin. Having supported my own daughters’ creativity, I know how much confidence can grow when there’s room to experiment, ask questions and develop your own ideas.

My lessons are relaxed, practical and tailored to your interests. We can explore drawing, painting, colour and composition, working from observation or imagination. I demonstrate techniques, help you experiment with materials and give clear, encouraging feedback so you can develop confidence and your own ideas.
I have over 20 years’ experience as a practising painter, with exhibitions in the UK and internationally. I’ve also enjoyed teaching my own daughters and helping them develop their creativity.
Lessons typically last an hour, with longer sessions available by arrangement. I welcome children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to those looking to develop an existing practice.

Jimmy taught in my house! He is very knowledgeable and inspires confidence. He is a pleasant, patient, and polite person, and I gained so much knowledge from him on how to acquire art skills. I have pictures displayed on my walls, which give me much pleasure.
