About Samantha
I taught Speech and Debate at Georgetown Day School for three years, working with elementary and middle school students to build strong foundations in public speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking. Throughout my debate career, I’ve served as a team captain, organization president, and mentor across various competitive circuits. These leadership roles have shaped me into an optimistic, enthusiastic, and patient educator who meets students where they are. I'm confident that through my course, you'll develop the tools to speak with clarity, think critically under pressure, and master the art of debate (whether you're preparing for tournaments, classroom presentations, or real-world discussions).

In high school, I served as Team Captain and earned championship titles in multiple speech and debate formats, consistently placing at regional and national tournaments. My strengths lie not only in performance but also in leadership and mentoring. After high school, I continued debating at The George Washington University as a member of the GWU Debate Team, where I expanded my expertise in argumentation, research, and public speaking at a collegiate level.
I bring a supportive and adaptable teaching style that meets students where they are. Whether you're brand new to debate or looking to take your performance to the next level, I focus on developing strong case construction, persuasive delivery, strategic thinking, and confident public speaking.
