About Laila
I am a recent high school graduate and an incoming Government student at Houston Community College with a strong interest in English, literature, communication, and education. I have more than six years of hands-on experience caring for and helping younger children with schoolwork, routines, and confidence. I also founded a school transition program that supported more than 180 students and served as president of my school’s Model United Nations team. I am bilingual in English and Arabic, CPR and First Aid certified, patient, dependable, and committed to creating a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I provide patient, encouraging English lessons for elementary and middle school students who want to strengthen their reading, writing, spelling, and overall confidence. I begin by identifying what the student understands and where they need extra support. Each lesson includes a clear explanation, guided practice, and an activity completed independently so I can check their progress. I adapt lessons to the student’s learning style and explain concepts in simple, approachable ways without making them feel embarrassed for needing help. My goal is for every student to leave each session feeling more capable, confident, and prepared for school.
