About Jasleen
I am a friendly, hardworking, and compassionate person who genuinely enjoys helping others. Throughout high school and now as a Penn State student, I have always valued being involved, connecting with new people, and supporting those around me. I was also involved in the National English Honor Society (NEHS), where I developed a stronger appreciation for English, writing, reading, and communication.
I am patient, understanding, and easy to talk to, and I believe everyone learns differently. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling embarrassed. I bring a positive attitude to everything I do and enjoy encouraging others to reach their goals.
As a tutor, my goal is to create a welcoming environment where students can strengthen their English skills while also building confidence in themselves.

My approach to tutoring English is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student. I want students to feel comfortable sharing their ideas and asking questions without feeling judged. I focus on helping students improve their writing, grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and overall confidence in English.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student needs the most help with. We may review an assignment, work on an essay, practice grammar, or improve reading comprehension. I explain concepts step-by-step and work through examples with the student before having them practice independently. At the end, we review what they learned and identify areas to continue working on.
What sets me apart is my ability to make English feel less stressful and more approachable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I am willing to explain concepts in multiple ways and provide personalized feedback.
My lessons are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students who need help with English, writing, reading comprehension, grammar, essays, homework, or test preparation.
