About Wesley
With over 11 years of experience teaching saxophone to college students, I focus on creating meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences. My teaching style is clear, flexible, and personalized. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my methods to suit individual strengths and goals.
My lessons cover tone development, finger technique, rhythm control, and performance skills. I combine structured exercises with creative activities such as improvisation and musical interpretation. Real-life examples and popular music pieces help students stay motivated and engaged.
I also use modern tools like digital recordings and play-along tracks to track progress and provide clear feedback. Along with saxophone performance, I teach music theory, sight-reading, and listening skills to strengthen musical understanding.
I aim to build confidence and consistency in my students. Whether you want to perform confidently on stage or simply enjoy playing music, I offer patient guidance and well-planned lessons to help you succeed.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is designed to support musical growth through creativity, guidance, and discipline. I believe learning should be clear, structured, and enjoyable. I start by teaching the basics such as breath control, tone production, finger movement, and reading music. These are explained using simple methods and real-life music examples.
Creativity is encouraged by allowing students to experiment with sound, learn popular tunes, and practice improvisation. As a mentor, I support students in building confidence and motivation, helping them think independently and enjoy the learning process. Critical thinking is developed by encouraging students to understand mistakes, listen carefully, and improve step by step.
Accountability is maintained through regular assessments, practice goals, and progress tracking. I help students build strong practice habits and musical responsibility. Along with Saxophone, I can teach related subjects such as Music Theory, Scale Studies, Rhythm Practice, and Basic Improvisation to help students become complete musicians.
