About Korina

My name is Korina Vogiatzi. Teaching and supporting in teaching always have been my main career aspirations and plans. My intention is to further my current working experience and career and work in a classroom-based environment. I would welcome to undertake any teaching or supporting in teaching role and opportunity that will be offered to me.

With regards to my personal qualities, I could say that I am a very patient and calm individual, assets which allow me to work effectively and successfully in busy working environments. Additionally, I am a highly organised and methodic person, traits that can be proved by my constant wish to plan my steps and actions ahead, before I overtake a project at work or before I communicate with any individual colleague or student.

For the past two years I have been working as a ‘Skills for Life’/Functional Skills in English Tutor/Administrator under the provision of an online learning based platform. Apart from the English funded courses, the centre is also providing a range of other government funded courses, such as Maths, ECDL, Employability and ESOL. I have been working with learners of various age groups ranging from 19 to 50 years old and of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Having gained a clear understanding of the Equality and Diversity rules of the company, I have strived to enhance my teaching practices and communication skills towards each learner with great attention to that understanding.

Opportunities for further education or career focused education and development have always been welcomed be me. I believe that learning should never be stopped, regardless of one’s age, working experience or years of working.

As far as my future career and aspirations are concerned, I aim to continue working in the domain of teaching and tutoring. I also wish to gain further experience in classroom based teaching environments. I am aiming to build up on my classroom management skills and gain further experience towards certifying and improving my teaching skills.
