About Margaret
Hello, My name is Margaret. I started studying yoga about 10 years ago and instantly fell in love with it. At the time I was suffering from anxiety and depression, and the more I got into my yoga practice the more those conditions dissipated. So I dove in and got certified in vinyasa/hatha yoga and have been loving teaching ever since. Even though my yoga practice helped me greatly, I still felt I needed to go a bit deeper. I started incorporating additional somatic exercises to calm and regulate my nervous system. In that combination of yoga and somatic practices, I found the total package of what helped me to feel amazing. I have a passion for all these practices and would love to pass that on to you. And on a personal note, I love to cook healthy meals, be in nature as much as I can, I love to draw and I also collect gems and minerals. I love all things nature.

In my teaching, I combine hatha yoga and vinyasa (flow) yoga with deep conscious breathing, and somatic exercises to gain balance, agility and lighten physical and emotional stress for deep relaxation and well-being . Somatic exercises are designed to release tension and ease anxiety by creating a deeper relationship between the mind and body and regulating the nervous system. I am a YTT 200 hour trained in vinyasa and hatha yoga. My studies in the structure and anatomy of the human body enable me to offer a holistic and effective practice for my students. I am a very patient and empathetic teacher whose intention is to go at the pace you are comfortable with. No experience at all necessary, I work with absolute beginners as well as those who have experience that want to deepen their yoga practice. This practice will help improve flexibility, balance, and encourage a state of deep peace, calm and wellbeing.
