About Shamira
I am a Mathematics and Statistics educator with over 12 years of teaching experience and 16 years of applied research and data analysis in international settings. My work combines academic rigor with practical analytics, helping students understand not only mathematical theory but also how it applies to research, economics, and real-world decision-making.
I hold a degree in Mathematics and an MBA in Finance, and I have worked with high school, IB, Cambridge, AP, and university students across different systems. As a former IB Mathematics Examiner, I understand assessment standards and grading logic from the inside. I also coach students for mathematical competitions and Olympiads, developing advanced problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
My approach is structured and goal-oriented. I begin by identifying strengths and conceptual gaps, then design a personalized study plan — whether the goal is mastering calculus, improving statistics, preparing for the SAT, GRE, or GMAT, or advancing in university-level mathematics.
Beyond solving problems, I teach students how to think mathematically — to analyze patterns, structure solutions clearly, and approach exams with confidence. Mathematics, when guided correctly, becomes a powerful advantage, not a barrier.

My lessons are structured, diagnostic, and strategy-oriented. Each student begins with an initial assessment to identify conceptual gaps, problem-solving habits, and performance bottlenecks. Based on this analysis, I design a customized study plan aligned with the student’s academic goals and timeline.
I emphasize conceptual clarity, logical structure, and efficient solution strategies. Students learn not only how to solve problems, but how to approach them systematically — recognizing patterns, selecting the most efficient method, and managing time effectively under exam conditions.
Where appropriate, I integrate digital tools such as Desmos, GeoGebra, and data-analysis software to strengthen visualization and applied understanding. Lessons combine theory, guided practice, and targeted exercises to ensure measurable progress.
My instruction covers middle school, high school, IB, AP, and university-level mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and quantitative reasoning. The objective is long-term mathematical maturity — not short-term memorization.
