About Jonny
I'm a PhD student in bioinformatics, which means I work every day where biology meets computing. I also support university students in the lab, guiding them through practicals and helping them understand the science behind their experiments. I know how to explain complex ideas clearly, and I remember what it's like to find topics confusing the first time round.

Whether you're getting to grips with cell biology for GCSE, revising genetics for A level, or stuck on a university module, I can help you understand it properly, not just memorise it.
I teach all areas of biology, including:
- Cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology
- Genetics, inheritance and evolution
- Human physiology, ecology and microbiology
- Exam technique, essay questions and data analysis
I also teach Python, from complete beginner level through to using it with biological data, statistics and an introduction to bioinformatics. It's ideal if you're a biology student facing your first programming module or dissertation analysis.
Every lesson is tailored to you. We'll work out where you're at, focus on what you find hardest, and use past papers, diagrams and practical examples to make things stick.
