I am a historian, specialized in feminist oral history and Indian Ocean slave trade c.1820s-.
I have been a tutor for 5 years and a TA for 2 years at SU, UCT and UWC.
Completed my undergraduate in International Relations, majoring in Political Science, Economics and History.

I center an interdisciplinary and intersectional approach enabling a pedagogic learning environment for students to begin thinking with complexity and criticality that is often only encountered at a postgraduate level. I have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, that have been honed through my academic courses, leadership (both positional and non-positional), mentoring and independent consultancy, professional speaking engagements as well as tutoring positions at SU, UCT and UWC. I have demonstrated myself to be adaptable, culturally sensitive and skilled in recognizing the potential in others.
