About Muhammad
I am an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering and hold a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston. I have several years of university-level teaching and research experience, but I believe good teaching should still feel approachable and comfortable.
I understand that students often need more than a one-time explanation in the classroom. Sometimes a concept simply needs to be explained differently, worked through step by step, or discussed without the pressure of keeping up with an entire class. I am patient with questions and encourage my students to ask freely, even if we need to approach the same concept several different ways.
My aim is to provide the academic knowledge of a university professor while maintaining a friendly learning environment where you feel comfortable saying, “I don’t understand this-can we go through it again?”

My lessons focus on understanding first and solving problems second. Instead of simply giving you formulas and asking you to memorize them, I explain where the concepts come from, how to recognize which approach to use, and then work through problems step by step.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and goals. Whether you are struggling with the fundamentals, preparing for an exam, or working on university-level mathematics or engineering problems, we will identify the areas that need improvement and focus our time there.
I have experience teaching undergraduate engineering students and currently teach at the university level. My goal is simple: by the end of the lesson, you should understand the topic better, feel more confident solving problems independently, and be comfortable asking questions throughout the process.
