I typically run 1-2-1 sessions for 45-60 mins but can accommodate 90-min sessions on request. I focus on skills development, notably combining close reading with impactful writing scaffolded by the TEEL structure, to prepare students for assessment - submitting coursework essays and sitting exams - at A-Level and undergraduate level. I work across media and forms, e.g., fictional prose, non-fictional prose, poetry, cinema, long-form television, and I can emphasise particular interpretative lenses, e.g., historicism, cognitive cultural studies.
