About Maria
Hi! I am a pediatrician in-training and a former 99th percentile standardized test scorer. I started tutoring small groups for the big names in ACT/SAT test prep before joining a boutique 1-on-1 tutoring agency. Individual tutoring was much more rewarding for me personally - and for my student's scores! I have now been tutoring for nearly a decade and have worked with dozens of students. I now combine that experience and training to assist my own students in achieving their college ambitions. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I have 8+ years of experience helping high school students achieve their best scores on the ACT and SAT. By working one-on-one, I get to understand the student's strengths, gaps, and learning style. We spend our time together efficiently to shore-up content knowledge, learn the quirks of the test, and practice test-taking strategies. I work from a structured curriculum and trove of curated resources that is then tailored to each student. We refresh our English and Math knowledge and learn how to approach Reading and Science. I expect students to complete homework and practice tests through our prep together.
