About Vikram
I am a Senior Lecture in Finance at one of the UK universities. I hold a PhD in Finance and 2 MSc's with distinction. Over my teaching career, I have taught many students both at University and privately. I have personally tutors students from LSE and Nottingham University.

I believe student engagement is key component of learning and without it they have little motivation to learn. In 2018, I won the award for “Outstanding Lecturer in the Business School” category. In my teaching, I encourage active student participation by asking questions, arranging debates, discussions and presentations in order to promote their understanding and build their confidence. I also incorporate use of latest technology in my teaching such as Socrative Kahoot and others. This helps me ensure that students are participating in the activities and to understand how they are progressing on the course. I also emphasize on linking real world applications of concepts and theories that I teach as it increases student engagement. I possess very strong IT skills. In particular, I am an advanced user of Excel and have experience of working with very large datasets. I also hold very good command of Moodle, Blackboard, Endnote, Stata, SPSS, Datastream, Eikon, Bloomberg and CapitalIQ.
