My teaching method is relaxed. I follow the 10 second thinking time rule that teachers in Enfield are told to follow. I also use multiple resources when teaching and lead by demonstrations.
My preferred teaching method is to work from the existing notes of the student, as to teach the subject from another angle can cause confusion. I am sensitive to the need of the student to get the maximum out of the lesson, so I give the student complete freedom to direct the lesson.
My teaching methodology varies. I like to adapt how I tutor to the clients needs in order to help them best. I believe I need to adapt my teaching style to each individual in a way they learn the most.
I always adujst my teaching style to a student. I try to use pupils' interests to make learning more fun and easier. I use various materials and approaches to be sure that I find the one that suits my student most and help her or him achive their best. I can both help just from time to time when a bit more help is needed (eg before exam) or be the support on regular basis.
I believe student engagement is key component of learning and without it they have little motivation to learn. In 2018, I won the award for “Outstanding Lecturer in the Business School” category. In my teaching, I encourage active student participation by asking questions, arranging debates, discussions and presentations in order to promote their understanding and build their confidence.
I am a patient and caring tutor with over fifteen years teaching experience. I teach singing for fun, for examinations and also tutor many professionals in the industry. I am also a professional singer song-writer and perform regularly. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor in singing, maths, science, English, guitar, piano/keyboard and also biology.
I like to try and help my students understand the problem rather than teaching them to just remember an answer
I teach each topic you need to learn according to how you want to learn and we will go at your pace
I like to sit with my students one-on-one and work through questions with them, because I believe that having experience working through questions is invaluable.
I access where my student is, their knowledge, capability and capacity and basing on that I start my teaching sessions with them. Elevating their learning capacity whilst keeping them motivated.
I am a secondary school TA with a degree in psychology and A-level in maths. I am able to tutor in maths and sciences up until GCSE level, as well as A-level psychology.
I believe that a lesson should go at the pace of a child and if that means slower then so be it. I like to have a relaxed feeling throughout my lesson where the student feels I am someone approachable and they look forward to seeing each week.
- Classes Kumon provide individualised Maths and English programmes. Attendance at class is on a "drop-in" basis during class times as each student works on their own individual development plan. Students take approximately 30 minutes per subject and attend class once a week, on a regular day.
- Classes The Bennetts End Kumon Study Centre is due to open on 5 September 2012, due to the high demand for Kumon in the area. We are based in Bennetts End Community Centre which is easily accessible and is situated next to the main shops in the area. There is also a large free car park at the back of the centre.
My teaching method is to go through questions and past papers and explain why and how to solve problems rather than "just do it like this". I believe understanding rather than just memorising brings greater success. I am a calm, patient, personable person who enjoys Maths.
I am a psychology graduate. The main subject i tutor is mathematics to primary, secondary and sometimes a-level students.
To make the cliants memory better, when they need to remember formulas and other mathematical terms, so they can use them in the exam .
I am a young professional who is willing to tutor any enthusiastic students from as young as Year 1 all the way to Year 11. I will be able to help students achieve their targeted GCSE grades or even assist with their SATs. My lessons will be engaging and fun as I believe the only way you learn is if you enjoy what you’re doing.
I'm currently on a gap year after completing my A levels. I hope to go to University next year to study Psychology and as there is a fair amount of maths in this subject thought it would be an appropriate subject to tutor. I have an A in my maths GCSE and have tutored a few students from my previous school.
I am a fully qualified Maths teacher and currently teach Maths one-to-one and in small groups to secondary stage students, so therefore am able to adapt my teaching to the needs of the individual student. I incorporate the personal interests and ways of working of each student to ensure that they are able to get the most out of the lessons, and achieve their full potential.
Each individual has their own personality and learning style. I aim to tailor each session according to what method suits you. Be it interactive or visual.
I believe the key to my success at GCSE and A Level was determining my learning style. This is so important as the way students are taught in school doesn't always work for everybody. I aim to help my pupils discover this and tailor the lessons to suit.
Lots of repetition tends to be the way forward with Maths. Exams boards often want you to be good at not the actual understanding of the theory. More so the practice of using it in exam questioning. The best way to combat this is to repeat multiple exam questions.
What the teachers do wrong at school is that they assume the student has understood or remembers certain topics and they take them for granted because they have a program to be completed by the end of the year. I know very well the feeling because I recently graduated as a MEng.
My name is Andrei. Maths and Physics were always my preferred subjects. This is reflected through my results as well as in my career. I would like to share my passion for the above with anyone interested and explain the above in simple words so everybody understands the principles. I am calm and patient and able to build a basic understanding from scratches.
What do you want to be when you grow up? 4 year old Jese said ‘I want to be a teacher’. Being the oldest sibling of my family and the first to attend university, I started teaching from a young age. I started private tutoring at the age of 14 and 10 years later my passion for tutoring has endured and I now have a number of students who I teach on a regular basis.
I am happy to tutor anyone going on to do their GCSEs or anyone in years 6-9. I will help students by going through any difficulties individually with them and helping them make structured notes and sharing the notes papers and books I have collected to help them increase their understanding and practice further.
Welcome! Thank you for your interest in my tutoring page. Tutoring can be a daunting prospect for your child, so I hope the information below will reassure both of you. I will always do my best to make learning fun, and to tailor activities to your child's needs and level.
I tailor each lesson to the topics that the pupil needs help with. I try to use the books and material that the pupil already has from school so that I do not add any confusion. I believe that it is important to practice the skills that have been learnt and will set additional work to that end.
I have a meticulous, methodical and thorough approach to teaching, ensuring that all topics are covered in sufficient detail to ensure exam success.
