About Alice
I have been tutoring for two years now and am in my third year at the University of Edinburgh studying Philosophy and English Literature MA. I have had multiple long term students as well as those looking to clean up their technique before assessments so can adapt my lesson for whatever time we may have. I love tutoring and believe it's important to pass on any skills I can so look forward to every lesson! I also have an enhanced DBS check meaning I am qualified to work with young people for total peace of mind.

I have been teaching literature and language for over two years with a range of students between the ages of 11 and 16. We focus mostly on developing skills with the target of attaining a high level at GCSE but all skill levels are welcome. I tailor my lessons for the needs of the individual student focusing on the areas needing the most attention including creative writing, comprehension (reading), transactional writing, poetry, modern literature, Shakespeare, essay writing, SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar), and general exam preparation. Lessons are typically an hour but I can be available for longer sessions if preferred. I can provide both in person and online lessons depending on availability.
