About Kaitlyn
In college I focused on a wide range of philosophy classes, such as philosophy of consciousness and the mind, philosophy of action, environmental ethics, general ethics and morality, existentialism, and philosophy of art. I also studied some criminology, environmental sociology, arts of persuasion, Latin film and culture, and Spanish grammar and creative writing. I believe my wide range of topics allows me to view a topic of study from multiple perspectives and approach my students with empathy. I am passionate about my topics of study and have experience teaching and traveling. I studied abroad in Spain and volunteered teaching English and stayed with a host family. I then moved to Costa Rica to pursue my dream of being a dive master, leading travelers on dives. I then moved to Mexico where I started instructing scuba diving and that’s where I found my true passion lies in connection with students.
