About Shaun
I am a 24 year old physics and astronomy graduate from Glasgow university. I have tutored several students (one-to-one and in small groups) in areas such as physics, chemistry, maths and biology. I have taught at levels from intermediate (N4 and N5) to higher, advanced higher and even early university. I have been tutoring for three years, after completing my third year of undergraduate study. I have since obtained a Masters degree in physics and astronomy. My students always give me positive responses, and generally go on to perform well in the classes I assist them with. My main motivations are to make scientific knowledge accessible to people, and to help young students excel and gain interest in scientific subjects.

I deliver lessons to any high school or early university students in physics or mathematics, and I teach up to advanced higher in chemistry. My lessons generally begin with a recap of the last session, and feedback on homework. Then, the student will highlight any new or persisting areas of difficulty and I will gauge their progress and any work that needs to be done. At the end of the lesson, I will issue new homework and have a general chat with the student about how his or her studies are going. I believe in a reciprocal approach to tuition, with the student and the tutor tackling problems together, rather than student vying for the time of a teacher.
