About Jerzy
As a retired Physics and Mathematics teacher with 18 years of successful classroom experience, I understand the challenges students face and how to help them achieve their full potential. Before teaching, I spent 30 years in Semiconductor Engineering, giving me extensive practical experience in applying mathematics and physics in a professional environment.
I provide a supportive, patient and structured learning environment where students can ask questions freely and develop confidence in their abilities. Lessons are tailored to individual needs, whether the goal is improving understanding, raising grades, preparing for exams or achieving top results at National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher level.
My teaching combines clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, regular practice and exam-focused techniques. I place strong emphasis on understanding concepts rather than simply memorising procedures, helping students become more independent and effective learners.
Over my teaching career, I have helped many students improve both their confidence and academic performance. I provide tailored one-to-one online tuition in Physics and Mathematics for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher students. My approach focuses on building a strong understanding of key concepts, developing problem-solving skills and increasing confidence through regular practice and exam-style questions.
Lessons are structured around the student's individual needs, whether that involves reinforcing classroom learning, addressing specific areas of difficulty or preparing for assessments and examinations. I use clear explanations, worked examples and guided practice to help students develop independent learning skills.
Typical lessons last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required.
