About Sam
Hello, my name is Sam, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in their studies. I believe that everyone is capable of achieving great results with the right guidance, and my role as a tutor is to make learning clear, engaging, and supportive. In my recent tutoring experience of tutoring students in Maths and science at different levels, I’ve learned that each student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs—breaking down complex ideas into simple steps, encouraging questions, and providing plenty of practice. My lessons are structured but flexible, with a focus on building understanding and long-term problem-solving skills rather than just memorising answers. I want my students not only to do well in exams but also to feel confident in tackling new challenges independently. I teach secondary school and sixth-form students (GCSE and A-level), and adult learners who are returning to study. Hello my name is Sam! I am a Physics Masters Graduate from the University of Nottingham with experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. I focus on making lessons interactive and tailored to each student’s needs. I break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and use examples, visual aids, and practice questions to build understanding. My aim is not only to help students grasp the material but also to develop problem-solving skills and confidence. I adapt my methods depending on the student’s learning style—whether they prefer structured explanations, guided practice, or exploratory discussions. The length of the lesson can be tailored to your needs, ranging from 30 minutes for a shorter, focused session up to 90 minutes for more intense support. My lessons are suitable for secondary school and sixth-form students (GCSEs, A-Levels, or equivalent) in Maths, Physics, or related subjects. I also welcome adult learners who want to refresh their knowledge or learn new skills at their own pace.
