About Selena
I have consistently demonstrated a strong academic foundation in mathematics and physics, having earned top grades in challenging courses such as AP Calculus BC, IB Physics, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Calculus II, and currently excelling in advanced subjects including Engineering Physics, Quantum Physics, Wave Physics, Calculus III, and Linear Algebra. I studied in four different countries and speak four languages, these experiences have equipped me with exceptional communication skills and a broad, adaptive perspective. I am deeply passionate about physics, and I am committed to pursuing a master’s degree with the goal of advancing to a Ph.D. in Astrophysics or a career as a Medical Physicist. I bring not only academic excellence but also cultural fluency and a clear vision for my future in the scientific field.

My name is Selena and I would love the opportunity to be your tutor. I bring not only a strong academic foundation but also a passion for helping students truly understand the beauty of math and science. I use proven study techniques like the Pomodoro Technique and the Feynman Technique to make learning more efficient and engaging. These methods have helped countless students improve their focus, retention, and confidence.
My lessons focus on clarity and application. I break down complex concepts using visual tools like MATLAB and Desmos, and I provide step-by-step proofs so students can understand the "why" behind each equation.
I offer support in subjects ranging from Algebra I through Calculus II.
