About Shannon
I am a piano tutor with 8 years of experience and a Master of Music in Piano Interpretation. My love for piano has grown through years of performance, musical collaboration, and continuous study of different styles and composers.
I enjoy creating lessons that balance disciplined learning with creative exploration. My teaching style encourages students to build strong technical foundations while expressing themselves confidently through music.
Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging piano music, accompanying instrumentalists, and attending live concerts. These experiences enrich my lessons and inspire students to continue discovering the beauty and versatility of the piano.

My piano lessons are designed to help students enjoy music while building strong technical and expressive skills. We begin with posture, note reading, rhythm exercises, finger coordination, and simple pieces before gradually introducing more advanced repertoire. Every lesson includes demonstrations, listening activities, practical exercises, and supportive guidance that make learning enjoyable and easy to understand. Students are encouraged to develop confidence through consistent practice and meaningful musical experiences.
As learners continue progressing, we study scales, arpeggios, chord progressions, sight reading, pedal technique, dynamics, phrasing, ear training, duet performance, and musical interpretation. Lessons also include improvisation, rhythm development, performance preparation, and personalized practice strategies that strengthen both technical control and artistic expression. Every lesson is adapted to support each student's musical interests and long-term goals.
My goal is to help students become expressive pianists who perform with confidence and musical understanding. Every lesson develops creativity, technical accuracy, and appreciation for music while making learning both inspiring and enjoyable.
