About Lydia

I have tutored before on a weekly basis and was able to teach a beginner basic skills in style and sight-reading.

I have a BA in English and Drama so have confidence in teaching performance skills and lyrical style. I also have experience in Musical Direction thus meaning I can teach music and harmony to singers and arrange songs for choirs. I also have vocal coached for many musical theatre productions as well as giving one-on-one sessions with singers.

I am generally a very open and confident person who believes in the importance of delivering a great service and creating an environment that encourages learning.

About the lesson

I have Grade 8 in piano as well as experience in singing and musical theory.

I am able to offer hour long lessons that will teach not only skills needed to learn piano but also music in general, and thus gives the student the opportunity to learn different instruments in the future. I also want to provide singers a foundation that will let them maintain and develop their voices and tone.

I am a patient teacher who is strict when needed to be but otherwise believes that learning music should be a fun experience. I am able to offer lessons to pupils of all ages and put forward applicants for ABRSM examinations.
