About Faye
My journey with piano began with a deep interest in music and musical expression. This led me to complete a PhD in Piano Performance, where I developed advanced technical and performance skills. Over the past 11 years, I have helped students learn piano through structured lessons and supportive guidance.
My teaching style focuses on patience, clarity, and encouragement. I understand that each student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods based on their needs. I use simple explanations and step-by-step guidance to help students improve gradually. I also create a calm and positive learning environment.
I continue to stay connected with music through regular practice and exploring new compositions. Watching students grow from beginners to confident players is very rewarding. Many learners who feel unsure at first begin to play smoothly and enjoy music deeply. Helping them achieve this progress motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and care.

Learning piano becomes more enjoyable when students understand how music works instead of just memorizing notes. In my lessons, I focus on finger positioning, rhythm, scales, and reading sheet music using simple and clear explanations. Each concept is broken into smaller steps so students can follow comfortably and build their skills gradually. I also include familiar songs and exercises to make learning engaging and enjoyable. This helps students stay motivated and connect with music naturally.
Lessons are designed based on the student’s level and pace of learning. Beginners focus on basic notes, hand coordination, and simple melodies to build a strong foundation. Intermediate learners work on improving rhythm, reading accuracy, and playing more complete pieces. Advanced students focus on musical expression, dynamics, and performance techniques. I include regular practice routines so students can improve steadily. Feedback helps them correct mistakes and refine their skills over time.
As students continue learning, they become more confident in playing piano and expressing themselves through music. Many learners enjoy practicing regularly and performing for others. This growth builds discipline, patience, and creativity. My goal is to make piano learning simple, enjoyable, and meaningful while helping students develop strong musical confidence.
