About Charish
I recently graduated from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in Politics and a Minor in Psychology and a commissioned Army officer, and I’ve worked as a writing tutor for 826 Valencia, a nonprofit that supports students from diverse backgrounds. I enjoy helping students find their voice in reading and writing while making the process less intimidating and more engaging. My experience in academics, leadership through Army ROTC, and community service has taught me the value of patience, structure, and encouragement. I’m passionate about helping students not only succeed in their current classes but also build skills that will serve them in the future.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, focusing on clear strategies for reading comprehension, essay writing, and critical thinking. Sessions usually combine reviewing classwork with guided practice to build both confidence and long-term skills. My background as a writing tutor at 826 Valencia and as a college graduate with a Politics degree and Psychology minor allows me to bring patience, structure, and adaptability to every session. I am anticipating being a Law school student so I specialize mostly in English with the addition of my academic background. I work best with all ages and students who want to strengthen their English and writing skills.
