About Kian Hng
Hi, I’m Kian H’ng, a first class Politics, Philosophy, and Economics graduate at the University of Manchester. I’m passionate about Mathematics and language learning, and I love helping students build their skills and confidence!
During the pandemic, I taught Mathematics to secondary school students as a mentor with Tutors in Action and conducted online Malay language lessons. My students describe me as patient, friendly, and approachable, making learning both enjoyable and effective.

I’m a private tutor with extensive experience teaching students of all ages. I’ve worked with Tutors in Action, teaching Mathematics to secondary school students, and I also offer Malay language classes, focusing on speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills.
My teaching style is interactive and engaging, combining practical exercises and lively discussions to keep students actively involved. I believe learning should be fun and meaningful, not just a one-way lecture!
Academically, I achieved A+ in Mathematics and A in Additional Mathematics in the SPM (Malaysian GCSE equivalent), along with A in Malay. At A-Level, I earned A in Economics* and A in Mathematics, which equips me to guide students effectively in these subjects.
With my experience, enthusiasm, and dedication, I’m committed to helping students achieve their academic goals while fostering a genuine love for learning.
