About Pablo

I’m Pablo, French and Spanish, and I study at Sciences Po in the Politics and Government major, with a minor in Latin America, alongside a law degree at the Sorbonne. I’m currently on exchange at the University of Edinburgh. At school, I specialised in history, geopolitics and political science, humanities and philosophy, and economics and social sciences, so these subjects have been at the heart of my studies for years.
I’ve also had the chance to see them in practice. I worked as an associate researcher at Sciences Po’s Observatory on Latin America and the Caribbean (OPALC) and interned at the French Embassy in Panama, where I helped draft diplomatic notes and press reviews. As Head of Academics for Poitiers Model United Nations, I wrote study guides and trained delegations. Through the associations Albin and Délibertés, I also work on prison education and penal policy.
For the past year, I’ve coached secondary school students preparing for demanding entrance exams. That experience taught me that every student gets stuck in a different place: for some it’s method, for others confidence or regularity. What I enjoy most is understanding where each student stands, then helping them move forward at their own pace.

I believe the social sciences are learnt above all by reading and discussing, so that is what my lessons are built on.
How a lesson works
Each session starts from a question or a text: a news article, an academic extract, a speech or a dataset. We read it together, discuss it, and use it to understand the key concepts and debates in the field. Then we work on turning ideas into arguments: building a plan, using examples well, and writing clearly. Theory comes in when it helps make sense of the real world, never as definitions to memorise.
Subjects
Politics and international relations: institutions, political theory, geopolitics, global governance, Latin America.
Sociology: inequality, social movements, institutions, research methods.
Economics: core concepts, macroeconomic policy, development, explained with current examples.
For every level and goal
Secondary school students: A-level, IB (Global Politics, Economics), Bac (HGGSP, SES).
University students: essay writing, reading academic texts, exam and presentation prep.
Admissions: personal statements, written tests and interviews for programmes such as Sciences Po.
My approach
In our first session, I take the time to understand your goals and where you get stuck, then we build a plan together and adjust it as you progress. You will read, debate and write a lot, and gradually learn to think and argue with confidence.
Practical details
Online lessons, with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
