About Michelle
My name is Michelle, and I am an experienced primary teacher with a real passion for teaching Maths and English. Teaching has always been more than a job to me—it’s a privilege. I love helping students discover what they are capable of and watching their confidence grow as they begin to believe in themselves.
One of the things I value most is seeing that moment when a student realises they can do it. With the right support, guidance, and encouragement, learners soon learn that nothing is beyond their reach.
A key strength of mine is creating a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment where students feel they belong. When learners feel secure and valued, they relax, engage, and make meaningful progress. I work hard to ensure every student feels protected, understood, and confident enough to take risks in their learning.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and delivered at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable. I work with children aged 7 to 12, supporting them in Maths, English and 11+ prep as well as adults who are preparing for Functional Skills qualifications.
Each session lasts one hour and includes a range of teaching approaches, such as modelling, guided practice, scaffolding, and independent practice.
SMART Board technology is used throughout sessions to bring learning to life through videos, quizzes, and interactive modelling. This helps learners stay engaged, make strong progress, and—most importantly—build confidence and motivation.
With over 26 years of teaching experience, I break learning into manageable steps and quickly identify gaps in understanding. This ensures every session has a clear, purposeful direction. I specialise in taking abstract or challenging concepts and explaining them in simple, accessible language so students feel secure, capable, and ready to succeed.
