About Selin
Hello, I'm Selin. I am a 3rd year psychology student at METU. I started my education life at Denizli PEV College and continued at Denizli Anatolian High School. Afterwards, thanks to my planned and productive work in my exam year, I won the METU psychology degree as the 2400th in the field of TM. I continue my education at METU as a high honor student. Since last year, I have been teaching Turkish to a 5th grade student and Turkish/Literature and Geography to a 9th grade student.
Sports, volunteering and school communities have an important place for me in my university life. I am currently a regular yoga practicer, and in the past I have been involved in the dance community and the media community. One of my goals is that my students always carry out various activities in a balanced way, such as education/work-socialization-sports/art.

In my private lessons, I try to be a role model for students by transferring my own experiences. I help them get to know themselves, set goals, and achieve them in a planned way. As a licensed swimmer from primary school to the last year of high school, who participated in many competitions including the Turkish Championship, I value the fact that students also have a sports/art life besides their education life. In addition, by ensuring the active participation of students in my private lessons, I ensure that the lesson is not monotonous and boring. As I get to know the student, I increase the efficiency of the lesson by choosing the appropriate lesson method. I always follow up by communicating with parents and students outside of class times.
Since I took the university exam from the TM field, I would like to teach every lesson in this field to high school students and share my experiences. I can also teach Turkish, mathematics and social studies at primary-secondary school level. At the same time, I am happy to transfer my knowledge of English, which I have learned intensively since the first grade of primary school, to students of all levels.
