About Eloise
I am a professional actor and puppeteer with recent experience performing on the 18-month UK tour of War Horse with the National Theatre. I hold an MA in Acting from ArtsEd, one of the UK’s leading drama schools, as well as a BSc in Psychology, which gives me a deep understanding of human behaviour, character motivation and effective learning techniques. My work on War Horse required physical precision, emotional truth and powerful ensemble storytelling — skills that I now bring directly into my teaching. I love helping students discover their confidence, unlock their creativity and develop a grounded, authentic approach to performance. Having struggled with confidence myself earlier in my training, I understand how intimidating performing can feel. That experience drives my teaching. I want to be the tutor who helps you recognise your strengths, trust your instincts and truly believe in your ability. My goal is to offer the support I once needed, so you can grow with confidence and clarity. I have experience working with a wide range of learners, from A-Level and GCSE drama students to drama school applicants and developing actors looking to refine their craft. Whether you are preparing for an audition, improving your technique, or exploring acting for the first time, I create a supportive, structured and motivating environment where you can grow at your own pace. My purpose is simple: to help you feel confident, capable and excited about the work you create.

My teaching approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in both professional industry experience and rigorous training. I recently completed an 18-month UK tour of War Horse as an actor and puppeteer, and I hold an MA in Acting from ArtsEd along with a BSc in Psychology. This combination allows me to coach students in a way that blends emotional truth, technical skill, and a strong understanding of human behaviour. Techniques & Teaching Methodology -I tailor every lesson to the needs and goals of the student. My teaching draws on: -Stanislavski and Meisner technique -Physical storytelling and movement work inspired by War Horse. -Character development through psychology, behaviour, and motivation. -Voice, breath, and clarity training. -Script analysis, monologue work, and confidence building -Audition and self-tape preparation for drama schools and professional castings -My goal is to help students build truthful, grounded performances, unlock confidence, and develop a toolkit they can use independently. Typical Lesson Length Most lessons are: 60 minutes (standard) 90 minutes for audition prep, monologue work, or movement-heavy sessions Longer sessions are available for intensive drama school preparation. Qualifications & Experience MA in Acting – ArtsEd BSc in Psychology 18-month UK tour of War Horse (National Theatre) – actor & puppeteer Professional experience in theatre, movement work, and ensemble performance. Perfect! Eloise kindly agreed to help me prepare for my Grade 5 LCM examination for Singing, Musical Theatre. Our lessons were a mix of in-person and over Zoom. Supportive, engaging, personally-tailored guidance were among the hallmarks of Eloise’s stellar coaching — including puppetry, as I had a number from Avenue Q in my programme. Working with Eloise was a major contribution to me achieving Distinction in the exam. Recommend highly!
